The Obereggen winter season typically runs from early December through mid-April, with optimal conditions from late December through March. The area benefits from its position within the Dolomites, receiving consistent snowfall enhanced by comprehensive snowmaking that ensures reliable coverage from opening day. Early season operations concentrate around north-facing sectors before expanding across the entire network by Christmas week. February delivers peak snow conditions, particularly in the higher elevation Oberholz sector, while March brings excellent spring skiing with reliable morning conditions. Night skiing operations on the illuminated Obereggen slope extend the experience three evenings weekly throughout the season.
