    Location & Getting There

    Situated in the snow-rich Myoko region, Ikenotaira benefits from perfect positioning to capture moisture-laden storms from the Sea of Japan. The resort sits three hours from Tokyo via bullet train and local connections. Traditional Japanese inns dot the surrounding village, offering authentic hospitality and local cuisine. Natural hot springs provide essential relaxation after full days on the mountain.

    Season Info

    Operating from mid-December through early April, Ikenotaira receives substantial snowfall averaging 13 metres annually. The resort's position captures consistent storms from December through February, creating reliable powder conditions. March brings spring skiing opportunities with stable temperatures and excellent visibility. The mountain's varied aspects help maintain snow quality, particularly in tree-lined areas protected from sun and wind.
