Snowbasin's historic 2022-23 season is coming to an end and they want to ensure their visitors have a clear understanding of what to expect and how to plan their final few adventures before the resort's extended closing day on Sunday, April 23.Due to significant snow depths and clearance concerns, Allen Peak Tram, Grizzly and Wildflower carpets will be closed for the rest of the season. Strawberry Gondola will stop spinning after the weekend, with its official closing day being Sunday, April 9. This decision was made to prioritize staffing and mitigation work of the resort's mid-mountain terrain. Visitors can still access a few Strawberry trails within the fencing, but they must exit back to the base area through Penny Lane. Anything outside of this fencing will be considered out of bounds.Porcupine, Becker, and John Paul lifts will remain open through April 16. During the extended closing week, visitors will have access to Needles Gondola, Littlecat Express, Wildcat Express, Middle Bowl Express, and the Wildcat Handle Tow operating daily.Construction on DeMoisy Express, a new high-speed six-person lift providing additional access to Strawberry terrain, will begin as soon as the resort closes. The sooner the work gets underway, the faster visitors can expect to enjoy this new lift spinning in the 2023-24 season. Real-time updates on lift operations are available on the resort's conditions page or @BasinBuzz on Twitter.
