Tamarack Ski Resort, ID, Announces Free Season Passes for Local Kids

Tamarack Resort, ID has come out with a new pass this year which makes us wish we were a kid again (and lived locally). We love seeing resorts get creative and we also love seeing companies put their best foot forward to support local communities to ensure everyone has a chance.

Skiing and snowboarding are ski resorts has always been a more elite sport that not only cost a lot of money to get onto the mountain but is a sport that requires expensive gear to go with it, this means it has for a long time been out of reach for many people and many families. Now Tamarack resort is flipping the normal with the introduction of the SKY Pass which is for local students and allows them to ride for free.

“Tamarack’s new program is all about rewarding a commitment to school and sharing our love of the mountains with K-12 students enrolled in Valley County and New Meadows schools. The SKY Pass provides free, year-round lift access from Memorial Day through end of the 2022 ski season. It will be available every year.”

Not only is Tamarack resort allowing children to access the resort and ride the lifts they are making sure the kids can be fitted out.

“The Toby’s Place Shred Shed: We know that snow sports gear can be expensive, so we’ve partnered with our friends at Toby’s Place, West Central Mountain Youth Advocacy Coalition, Pancake House and Gravity Sports to create the Toby’s Place Shred Shed to provide free ski/snowboard equipment and clothing to local families in need. The Shed will open in Fall 2021 to provide gear to those who qualify.”
