    Located on the southern slopes of majestic Mt. Hood, Ski Bowl offers the largest night skiing terrain in North America. Since 1928, this historic ski area has combined challenging alpine terrain with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere.     Mt Hood Skibowl Lift System

    Ski Bowl's network of 9 lifts provides access to 65 runs and numerous off-piste areas. The Upper Bowl and Lower Bowl lifts serve challenging expert terrain, while the Multorpor and Lower Bowl lifts access perfect intermediate and beginner terrain. Modern snowmaking equipment ensures reliable coverage on key runs throughout the season.

    Location & Getting There

    Just 53 miles east of Portland, Ski Bowl is the most accessible major ski area from the city. The resort sits at the western edge of Government Camp, offering easy access to lodging, dining, and après-ski activities. The drive from Portland typically takes about an hour, making it perfect for both day trips and extended stays. Free parking is available at both the West and East base areas.

    Season Info

    The ski season at Mt Hood Ski Bowl typically runs from late November through April, with night skiing available until 10 PM. Winter brings an average annual snowfall of 300 inches, creating ideal conditions for powder skiing. Spring offers spectacular sunny days and excellent corn snow, perfect for learning or perfecting technique in warmer conditions.
