    Smugglers Notch Lift System

    Eight lifts, including two high-speed quads, serve Smugglers' Notch's diverse terrain. The Madonna I lift carries skiers to the resort's summit at 3,640 feet, offering access to legendary runs like Black Hole and Robin's Run. Our efficient lift network minimizes wait times and maximizes your time on the slopes, with strategic placement ensuring easy access to all three mountains.

    Location & Getting There

    Located in northern Vermont's Lamoille County, Smugglers' Notch is just 30 miles east of Burlington International Airport and approximately 4.5 hours from New York City. The resort sits at the foot of Madonna Mountain, with the historic Smugglers' Notch Pass nearby – a corridor once used by smugglers during the trade embargo with Canada in the early 1800s.

    Season Info

    Winter transforms Smugglers' Notch into a snow-sports haven, typically operating from late November through mid-April. The resort receives an average of 280 inches of natural snow annually, complemented by comprehensive snowmaking across 62% of the terrain. Peak conditions usually arrive in January and February, with March offering classic spring skiing opportunities.
