TL;DR
Qantas Airways has resumed its Melbourne to Tokyo service, landing at Haneda Airport, which is much closer to downtown Tokyo than Narita Airport. The service operates four times a week and provides easier access to ski resorts across Japan via the Shinkansen bullet train. Haneda Airport is considered the better option of Tokyo's two airports, mainly because of its location and facilities, such as the Haneda Airport Garden hotel and shopping complex. All cabin classes will also have updated menus.
Australian skiers based in Melbourne and the state of Victoria now have a third option for a non-stop flight to Japan. Qantas Airways has resumed its Melbourne to Tokyo service, ending a three-year break on the route. The service operates four times a week on the Airbus A330 and lands at Haneda Airport, which is much closer to downtown Tokyo than Narita Airport, where Qantas used to land. This means less waiting time between disembarking and enjoying popular attractions such as the Senso-ji temple in Asakusa or the Meiji Shrine in Yoyogi Park. The new airport also provides easier access to ski resorts across Japan via the Shinkansen bullet train.
