Air Canada is gearing up for the winter season with increased capacity on its routes from Australia and New Zealand to Vancouver, Canada. The airline is boosting its Brisbane-Vancouver and Sydney-Vancouver flights, as well as its seasonal service from Auckland to Vancouver, to meet strong demand from travellers looking to hit the slopes and enjoy other winter activities in Canada.Starting in November, Air Canada will replace the 298-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner currently used on the Brisbane-Vancouver route with a larger, 400-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which will operate five times a week in November and daily from December to March. The increased capacity will allow more travellers to take advantage of Air Canada's award-winning three-cabin service, with options for Economy, Premium Economy, and Signature Class with lie-flat suites for maximum comfort on the long flight.Meanwhile, Air Canada is adding an extra three flights per week to its daily Sydney-Vancouver service between December 2023 and January 2024. The additional flights will depart at 4pm, providing passengers with more flexibility in terms of departure and arrival times. Like the Brisbane-Vancouver route, the Sydney-Vancouver service features Air Canada's spacious Signature Class lie-flat business suites and delicious meals designed by top Canadian chefs. For travellers in New Zealand, Air Canada is expanding its seasonal Auckland-Vancouver service, which will operate from October 31, 2023, until March 29, 2024, using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Flights will operate three times a week during November but increase to a record five times per week from December – an overall 20% increase in capacity on the 2022/23 season.
