Park City Mountain Resort, the largest ski resort in Utah and the USA, has announced an extension of its winter season all the way to May 1, 2023. This news comes less than two weeks from the previously announced closing date of April 23. This decision was made after receiving 117" of snowfall in the last weeks of March, prompting the resort's senior leadership team to evaluate a second season extension. This historic opportunity will allow Park City Mountain Resort to offer one of its latest closing dates since the early ’80s, capping off its longest season in 30 years. As part of their plan, the resort is working on a commemorative item for employees and planning employee perks for the final week.Starting from April 23, the resort will operate on a limited footprint out of the Mountain Village, with more than 2,100 acres still available. For the additional eight days, two lifts will operate, Crescent and Silverlode, serving 1,250 acres from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and limited food and beverage will be available in Legacy Café, including a $5 employee meal. While this decision may have been unexpected, it provides an exciting opportunity for those looking to hit the slopes for a bit longer this season. With a record-breaking season under their belt, Park City Mountain Resort is determined to make the final week enjoyable for both guests and employees alike.
