Nakiska Ski Area, located in Alberta, Canada, has recently announced that it is set to kick off the 2023-24 winter season with a special preview weekend on November 4th and 5th, 2023. This early opening positions Nakiska as the first resort in Canada to welcome winter enthusiasts for the season. Over the past week, the resort has been graced with 25cm (10 inches) of fresh snow, and their dedicated snowmaking team has been diligently working to enhance the natural snowfall. Situated just 45 minutes away from Calgary, Nakiska Ski Area typically leads the way in opening among nearby resorts such as Norquay, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise, catering to race teams gearing up for the season. Originally designed as a training and race centre and famous for hosting the 1988 Olympics, Nakiska offers primarily groomed runs served by four chairlifts, making it a prime destination for ski racers in the Bow Valley region. .responsive { width: 100%; height: auto; } Nakiska Web Cam: Mid Mountain Lodge
