Perisher Ski Resort in Australia has appointed Nathan Butterworth as its new Vice President & General Manager, effective June 12, 2023. Butterworth currently holds the same position at Hotham, where he achieved strong performance records and successfully managed complex initiatives such as the sale of Hotham Airport. Prior to his role at Hotham, Butterworth worked at Perisher for 20 years in various capacities, including Resort Services Director.

Doug Pierini, Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, West Region at Vail Resorts, expressed confidence in Butterworth's ability to lead, citing his extensive experience in mountain operations and his knowledge of the Perisher resort and community. Pierini highlighted Butterworth's passion for outdoor activities, snow sports, and environmental sustainability, as well as his commitment to his team and community, which are expected to contribute to the long-term success of Perisher and the Australian ski industry.
