Mount Hotham Skiing Company has appointed Tina Burford as its new General Manager, effective from 3rd July. With nearly four decades of experience in the industry, including her current role as Resort Services Director at Perisher, Burford brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her new position. She has worked internationally and made significant contributions to both Hotham and Perisher throughout her career. Burford's commitment to inclusivity, focus on employee and guest experiences, and her track record of talent development make her an exceptional leader for Hotham's future. Her return to Hotham, where she began her ski career in Australia, is a dream come true for Burford, and she is excited to dive right into her new role as the ski season is already underway.

Hotham Resort in Victoria is gearing up for the much-awaited 2023 season, following in the footsteps of its sister resort located northeast. Starting at 1 pm, skiers and snowboarders can hit the slopes in the summit region, known for its exceptional snow quality as the highest point in the state. A cold front is expected to bring an impressive 45 centimetres of natural snowfall, complemented by artificial snow from the dedicated snow-making team. With luck, more terrain will open up by Monday, and we may witness the opening of Heavenly and Village slopes.
