Australian Ski Season Jobs - The Resorts Are Now Hiring

The Australian ski season is right around the corner (less than 100 days) and the resorts are now starting to put in motion their employment drives to get as many people up to the resorts to ensure they can run as strong as possible.

The ski season in Australia was very strange in 2020 with resorts in New South Wales operating at limited capacity and the resorts in Victoria were really put through the ringer. Falls Creek and Hotham opened for a total of 4 days before Vail decided that due to the ongoing lockdowns they called it early and said they would shut for the entire season. Mt Buller was able to open up, stay open until the very last minute before closing as part of the state wide lockdowns and then was the only resort to open up again when regional Victoria was allowed out and about.

These conditions were obviously very trying for the resorts and we are all now hoping 2021 will be a more stable year and we all hope the resorts can open in June and remain open till October. The other challenge for the resorts this year will be finding the right amount of staff as the international borders to Australia remain closed so this season will be run 100% by locals or Australians.

If you have ever considered working at a ski resort, want a fresh change or you are still trying to find stable work whilst the world and country navigates the ongoing pandemic then check out the details below to get in touch with the resorts.
