Thredbo has officially ended its winter 2023 season two weeks ahead of schedule due to challenging weather conditions. In an unfortunate incident at the Australian snowfields, three individuals were injured when a sudden gust of wind caused them to be ejected from a ski lift on the Kosciuszko Chairlift. Two women in their 20s suffered back injuries, while a man sustained facial injuries during the fall around 2:20 pm on Saturday. Thredbo resort confirmed the isolated incident and expressed their unwavering commitment to safety, cooperating with investigations by SafeWork NSW and an independent engineer. The 33-year-old Kosciuszko Chairlift, Australia's longest, serves both winter sports enthusiasts and summer hikers and bikers.
