Big changes have arrived at Brundage Mountain with the debut of the Centennial Express, an upgrade from the 32-year-old Centennial Triple.
This new lift is a state-of-the-art, four-person, high-speed chairlift, crafted by renowned manufacturer Doppelmayr. It represents a significant leap in efficiency and comfort for skiers and snowboarders.
Gone are the days of the 16-minute ride on the old Centennial Triple. The Centennial Express slashes this time to a mere six minutes, allowing more time on the slopes. This season marks a notable milestone for Brundage Mountain, boasting two high-speed quad chairlifts on its front side.
The Centennial Express, like its predecessor, offers a swift journey from the base of Brundage to the upper ridge, enhancing the skiing experience.The grand opening of this new lift was a festive event, complete with complimentary coffee and donuts, and special gear giveaways from BlackStrap, a well-known balaclava brand.

However, it's not just new lifts making headlines at Brundage.
The resort, like many across North America, has faced challenges with low snowfall this season. In a recent Instagram update, the resort acknowledged the tough conditions due to warm temperatures and low snowpack but remained optimistic, hinting at snowy days ahead.
This optimism isn't unfounded. With a significant North American storm cycle on the horizon, Brundage Mountain might receive over a foot of snow soon, potentially transforming the resort's landscape. Some forecasts even predict more than three feet of snow, a much-needed boost for the mountain's operations.
Currently, 27 of Brundage's 70 trails are open, but with a stroke of luck and favorable weather, we might see more terrain opening up soon. So, keep your skis ready – more exciting times might be just around the corner at Brundage Mountain!
