Get ready for an exciting winter holiday season in 2025! Alaska Airlines has announced a range of new nonstop flights connecting West Coast cities to some of North America's top-rated ski resorts. From 20 December 2025 to 16 March 2026, skiers and snowboarders in Seattle and San Diego can take advantage of thrice-weekly flights to Vail, Colorado. This new route allows travellers to bypass the notorious I-70 traffic and head straight for Vail's famous champagne powder and clear blue skies.

For those keen on a Tahoe adventure, daily flights from San Diego to Reno will operate from 19 December through mid-April. These flights offer easy access to popular resorts like Heavenly and NorthStar, with the added bonus of trying your luck at the casino tables after a day on the slopes. Fancy an international ski trip? Look no further than the daily flights from Los Angeles to Kelowna, British Columbia, running from 19 December to 17 March. This route opens up the vast skiing opportunities in the Canadian Rockies. “We’re thrilled to offer convenient connection for guests across our network with this expansion—whether checking destinations off their bucket lists or setting off to their favourite winter getaways, we’ve put together an exciting range of options from tropical destinations across Mexico to the most popular ski slopes in North America,” — Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Network Planning and Revenue Management
