Whitefish Mountain Resort Celebrates Successful 2024/2025 Season
Whitefish Mountain Resort in Montana has reported a total of 497,000 skier visits for the 2024/2025 winter season. This figure comes close to the resort's all-time record of just over 500,000 visits set in the 2022-2023 season. The strong performance reflects the resort's ability to attract and retain skiers and snowboarders throughout the winter months.
The resort defines a skier visit as each time a lift ticket, season pass, or frequent skier card is scanned for the first time on a given day. According to local reports, the busiest day of the season occurred on January 4th, with 4,819 people on the slopes. Chad Sokol, Public Relations Manager for Whitefish Mountain Resort, attributed the season's success to favourable weather conditions. He noted that early-season snowpack allowed for extensive terrain opening in early December, while several significant storms throughout the winter provided excellent powder conditions. The season concluded with spring snowfall that extended operations through to the closing weekend.

As the winter season ends, Whitefish Mountain Resort is preparing for its summer activities, including mountain biking, alpine slides, and zip line tours. For those still keen on skiing, the resort has implemented an uphill policy, requesting that skiers use only the East Route while the lifts are not in operation. Looking ahead, the resort has already begun selling season passes for the 2025-2026 season. Prices are set to increase at the end of September, giving potential buyers time to make their decision. The resort's consistent performance and diverse offerings continue to make it a popular destination for skiers and riders in Montana.
