Magic Mountain Ski Area Achieves Milestone Season

Magic Mountain Ski Area in Londonderry, Vermont, has reported exceptional results for the 2024-25 ski season. The resort saw a 26% increase in skier visits compared to the previous year, with paid ticket visits up by 36%. This growth occurred despite the season's snowfall being only slightly above average, with 128 inches recorded.

The addition of the Black Line Quad, which began operations in February 2024, played a key role in the resort's success. This new lift increased the mountain's capacity while maintaining Magic's commitment to limiting ticket sales for an uncrowded experience. Snowmaking improvements implemented during the 2024 off-season also contributed to the positive outcome.

Season pass holders showed increased engagement, with visits up by 11%. The resort's decision to maintain season pass prices at 2023 levels has led to a 34% increase in pass sales for the upcoming season, compared to the same time last year.

Magic Mountain is now preparing for its Mountain Town Get Down event on May 31st, featuring cross-country ski races on a preserved snow patch. Proceeds from this event will support local youth programs.

Looking ahead, Magic Mountain Ski Area appears to be on a strong trajectory. The combination of infrastructure improvements, strategic pricing, and a focus on maintaining a quality ski experience has positioned the resort for continued success. As Vermont's ski industry evolves, Magic Mountain's recent performance demonstrates the potential for smaller, independent resorts to thrive by offering a unique and appealing product to skiers and riders.
