Canadian Ski Resort Upgrades with High-Speed Six-Pack Lift

Mount St. Louis Moonstone, a ski resort in Coldwater, Ontario, is set to enhance its lift infrastructure with a new Doppelmayr six-pack chairlift. This addition follows the installation of an eight-pack lift during the previous season, demonstrating the resort's commitment to modernising its facilities. The new lift, named The Elfriede Huter Xpress, will replace two older lifts and is scheduled to begin operations in the 2025-26 ski season.

The Doppelmayr D-Line detachable high-speed six-pack chairlift will boast an impressive uphill capacity of 3,000 skiers and riders per hour. This marks a significant improvement over the current lifts it's replacing - the Poma Easy Street Triple and the BM Outback Quad. The new lift will feature heated seats and footrests, enhancing comfort for users during cold Canadian winters. For beginners and families, the lift will include child-lock restraints and an adjustable loading conveyor, prioritising safety and ease of use for all skill levels.

Andre Huter, Operations Director at Mount St. Louis Moonstone, emphasised the resort's focus on innovation and guest experience. "Our goal is to stay ahead of the curve, investing where it matters most—on the slopes," Huter stated. "This new lift is about improving guest experience, comfort, and continuing to build on our family's legacy of innovation since 1964."

Mount St. Louis Moonstone has been a fixture in Ontario's ski scene for decades. With this latest upgrade, the resort continues to position itself as a leading ski destination in the region. The new six-pack lift is expected to reduce queue times and improve the overall flow of skiers and riders on the mountain, enhancing the resort experience for visitors of all abilities.
