Sölden Enhances Ski Experience with Infrastructure Upgrades
Sölden ski resort is planning significant improvements to its infrastructure for the 2025/26 winter season. The existing 'Silberbrünnl' 4-seater chairlift will be replaced with a modern 8-seater version, addressing the growing needs of visitors. This upgrade is crucial as the lift serves as a key access point to the glacier ski area, Gaislachkogl, and Gampe. It's also popular among beginners who use it to practice on the blue piste 13.

In addition to the lift upgrade, Sölden is implementing a strategic connection between slopes 7 and 22. This improvement aims to enhance the overall skiing experience by providing more efficient access to the resort's main areas. Once completed, skiers will be able to reach all four major valley points—Gaislachkogl Valley, Sölden Town Centre, Postplatz Sölden, and Giggijoch Valley—more quickly and easily on skis. This development is expected to reduce traffic in Sölden town.

The new slope connection will also benefit less experienced skiers by eliminating steep sections on certain valley runs. Specifically, it will create a continuous blue slope from Hochsölden to Grünwald, bypassing the steepest part of slope 22. This change will form a connected ski area close to the valley, offering an alternative option during bad weather or when higher altitude lifts are closed. Importantly, these improvements will increase the usable slope area without requiring additional cable cars. For Sölden ski resort, these upgrades represent a significant step in improving accessibility, expanding terrain options, and enhancing the overall skiing experience for visitors of all skill levels.
