    Perisher Unveils New High-Speed Chairlift

Perisher Ski Resort is set to launch its latest addition, the Mt Perisher 6 Chairlift, on Friday, 27th June. This new lift represents a significant $26 million investment in the resort's infrastructure. The opening marks the culmination of years of planning and construction, aimed at enhancing the skiing and snowboarding experience on Mt Perisher.

The chairlift's debut will be celebrated with an opening event featuring live music and giveaways. While the traditional first-ride queue system won't be in place, visitors are encouraged to join the festivities and be among the first to experience the new lift.

    Perisher opens a new chairlift

The Mt Perisher 6 Chairlift, nicknamed 'Mt P 6', is more than just a new way up the mountain. It's designed to improve access to Mt Perisher's slopes, reduce wait times, and increase the number of runs skiers and riders can enjoy in a day. The project, which began construction in late 2023, was completed on schedule thanks to favourable weather conditions and efficient teamwork between Perisher's crew and Doppelmayr engineers.

This new chairlift takes riders to the highest lifted point in Australia, offering expanded access to Mt Perisher's terrain. The improved capacity and speed of the lift are expected to significantly enhance the overall experience for visitors, allowing for more time on the slopes and less time waiting in queues.

The opening of the Mt Perisher 6 Chairlift reflects Perisher's commitment to improving its facilities and the overall skiing experience in Australia. It's a testament to the resort's long-term vision and investment in the future of snow sports in the country.

Perisher Ski Resort, located in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, is known for its extensive terrain and modern facilities. With the addition of the Mt Perisher 6 Chairlift, the resort continues to solidify its position as a leading ski destination in Australia. The new lift is expected to attract both seasoned skiers and newcomers, offering improved access to a variety of runs suitable for different skill levels.

Visitors planning to experience the new chairlift can take advantage of accommodation deals at nearby Jindabyne, with discounts available for extended stays. The resort also offers early booking discounts on lift tickets and ski lessons for those looking to improve their skills before tackling Mt Perisher's slopes.
