Gore Mountain Unveils Improvements for 2025/2026 Season

Gore Mountain has announced several upgrades for the 2025/2026 ski season. The resort plans to replace the Topridge Triple Chairlift with a new Skytrac Fixed Grip Quad lift. This upgrade will increase uphill capacity while maintaining the current lift alignment. Work on removing the old lift has begun, with the new installation scheduled for completion before the 2025/2026 season starts.

In addition to the new lift, Gore Mountain is focusing on enhancing its snowmaking capabilities. The resort will replace ageing snowmaking pipes on several trails, including Twister, Echo, and Upper and Lower Sleighride. The new, larger pipes will increase water capacity and boost snow production efficiency. This upgrade aims to improve snow coverage and extend the ski season.

Parking is also being addressed, with plans to construct a new lot below lot G on the access road. This addition, pending approvals, could provide up to 375 new parking spaces, improving access for skiers and riders.

Maintenance work is planned for other lifts, including replacing the haul rope on the Straight Brook Quad. This repair will allow the lift to operate at full capacity, addressing issues from the previous season that required reduced loading during busy periods.

The North Creek Ski Bowl project continues to progress. The new Ski Bowl Lodge is on track to open for the 2025/2026 winter season, offering additional seating, a retail shop, and a year-round restaurant and bar. Construction of a zip coaster is also planned, combining elements of a mountain coaster and a zipline. This attraction is expected to be operational by summer 2026.

Gore Mountain's ongoing developments aim to enhance the resort's appeal as a year-round destination in the southern Adirondacks. While these improvements focus on the winter experience, the resort also offers summer and fall activities including scenic skyrides, mountain biking, hiking, and disc golf.
