Steamboat Resort in Colorado recently announced the successful completion of cable splicing for the Wild Blue Gondola expansion, slated to be North America's longest and fastest 10-person gondola. The first phase provided skiers access to various lifts last season, and now, the resort is finalising the second phase, connecting the mid-station to Sunshine Peak. The cable splicing process, shown in the video, is highly technical and typically involves a large crew. Steamboat aims to open the second leg of the Wild Blue Gondola in December, promising an exceptional mountain experience for visitors.

Steamboat is full steam ahead with some incredible updates across the resort. One in particular that we are excited for is the second out of base Gondola that will alleviate a large pressure point in the resort.
