Brian Head Resort Achieves Longest Season and Highest Visitation

Brian Head in Southern Utah has set new records for the 2024-25 ski season. The resort operated for 178 days, the longest season in its 60-year history. This surpassed the previous record of 174 days set in the 2023-24 season. Brian Head also saw its highest number of skier visits ever.

The extended season was made possible by several factors. Improved snowmaking systems, dedicated staff, late-season snowfall, and the resort's high elevation all contributed to preserving snow conditions. Brian Head opened on November 8 with top-to-bottom skiing and continued operations through May 4.

Throughout the season, Brian Head offered a range of activities to keep skiers and riders engaged. These included free first-timer lessons, weekend night skiing, live music, and an upgraded terrain park. The resort also ran community programs like Ski with a Ranger.

Brian Head's commitment to affordable skiing was evident in its pricing structure. Lift tickets for the 2024-25 season started at $19. Children aged 12 and under could ski or snowboard for free without any purchase or blackout dates. The resort's snowmaking efforts, which began in September and continued through March 9, were crucial in establishing a solid base for the season.

Looking ahead, Brian Head Resort is now selling season passes for the 2025-26 season at early bird prices. The Weekday Power Pass, priced at $99, offers one day of skiing per week. The full-access Power Pass starts at $349 for youth and $749 for adults, including access to Brian Head, Nordic Valley in Utah, and eight other resorts in the Southwest and Pacific Northwest.

After this record-breaking winter, Brian Head will transition to summer operations, scheduled to begin on June 13, weather permitting. New for this summer, the resort plans to operate seven days a week during select periods. From June 27 to August 10, the Giant Steps Chairlift will run daily, offering scenic rides and lift-served mountain biking.
