Idaho Ski Resorts Prepare to Close for 2025 Season

As spring arrives in Idaho, ski resorts are preparing to wind down their operations for the 2025 season. The warmer weather and changing snow conditions signal the end of another ski season across the state. Skiers and riders still have time to enjoy the slopes before the resorts close their doors for the summer months.

Bogus Basin, located near Boise, will continue full operations until Sunday, April 13. After this date, the resort will offer a special Bonus Weekend on April 19 and 20, exclusively for 2024/25 Winter and Nordic Pass Holders. This includes all pass options.

Brundage Mountain Resort, near McCall, has set Sunday, April 13 as its closing day. The resort is planning a series of events to mark the end of the season. On Saturday, April 12, Brundage will host the third annual Cardboard Classic, where participants race downhill in homemade cardboard vessels. The Easy Street area will feature live music and a relaxed atmosphere with refreshments available.

Tamarack Resort will also conclude its season on Sunday, April 13. Visitors are encouraged to check the resort's website for specific details about closing day activities.

Sun Valley Resort is expected to remain open the longest, with a tentative closing date of Sunday, April 20. The resort plans to celebrate with live music by Trevor Green at Warm Springs Plaza from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the final day.

As the season comes to an end, it's important for skiers and riders to remain vigilant about safety. The changing spring conditions can expose natural obstacles like rocks and branches. Wearing appropriate safety gear, including helmets, is always recommended to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the mountain.

While these closing dates mark the end of regular operations, some resorts may adjust their schedules based on weather conditions and snow coverage. Skiers and riders are advised to check with individual resorts for the most up-to-date information on operating hours and conditions as the season concludes.
