Conquering The Legendary Lifts At Palisades Tahoe
As we navigated our way into Palisades Tahoe on a bluebird day, we couldn't help but recall the Palisades Tahoe website's descriptions of their legendary lifts. Inspired by the promise of adventure, we embarked on a challenge: experience each of these legendary lifts and explore the diverse terrain they provided access to. This undertaking would lead us to every corner of the resort, and take us on a range of terrain from intermediate blue cruisers through to expert bowls and challenging steep terrain.
Parking Reservations Coming Online For Palisades Tahoe This Season
Palisades Tahoe is implementing a reservation-based parking system for the 2023/24 winter season to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance the guest experience. Reservations are required on specific weekends and holidays before 1 p.m., with a mix of free and paid options and no assigned spaces. Mid-week parking remains free. Free reservations are available in two releases on Tuesdays, with the first date on November 28th, while paid reservations can be made well in advance. If all reservations are booked, guests are encouraged to use public transport, Park and Ride, or carpool, with special perks for carpoolers with three or more passengers.
Palisades Tahoe Set To Open In November
Palisades Tahoe is gearing up to reopen in 100 days for the winter season starting on November 22nd, 2023. They've announced an Early Booking Offer with savings of up to 25% on lodging, lessons, and demos, available until September 8th. The resort will introduce a combination of free and reserved-in-advance paid parking programs, limited to specific dates during weekends and holiday periods. To prepare for the upcoming season, Palisades Tahoe is offering enticing deals on slopeside lodging, lessons, and demo equipment. In just eight weeks, the resort will unveil exciting changes for the new season.
Palisades Drops Awesome 22/23 Winter Recap Video
The winter of 2022/2023 was an epic season in the Palisades, with an astonishing 723 inches of snowfall from October to May. This resulted in monumental fun and excitement at one of Tahoe's premier resorts. Palisades Tahoe Breaks All Time Snow Record
The 22/23 season at Palisades Tahoe has officially broken the record for the snowiest season on record, with a total of 710 inches of snowfall so far. This is 178% of the annual average snowfall for the area, which has led to excellent skiing and snowboarding conditions. The resort offers over 6,000 skiable acres and a range of winter activities, making it a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts. More snow is expected in the coming days, so visitors can look forward to even better conditions.
Palisades Tahoe Announces Second Season Extension To July 4th
Thanks to an unforgettable winter with more than 55 feet of snow through mid-March, we are extending our ski and snowboard season into the summer and will be extending our season until July 4th, 2023 Along with this now that the clocks have changed Palisades Tahoe will be extending the hours of the famous KT-22 lift on Saturdays to run till 5pm.
Palisades Tahoe Operations Update: KT-22 Update + Big Storms Coming
Palisades Tahoe is prepping for what could be the biggest storm of the season whilst also getting ready to open their most famous lift. This weekend will see nearly 60” (5ft) of fresh snow fall across the middle sections of the resort which means it could be over 7ft near the peaks. Palisades Tahoe is introducing Double Black Diamond trail ratings for its most advanced and expert terrain. This is the first time Palisades Tahoe has ever used this trail rating and was last used at Alpine in 2012. See the details here.
Palisades Tahoe Replaces Red Dog Lift with 6-seater
Palisades Tahoe is in for a kicker of a season during the 22/23 winter as they get not only one but two major lift upgrades that will see traffic in and around the base region massively reduced. More lift capacity means getting those riders out of the carpark and onto the hill.
